I just checked this area out last week and was very disappointed. The place seemed kind of sketchy with lots of garbage strewn about the trails. Some features were in disrepair, becoming overgrown, or had transients sleeping on or beneath them. I had become very excited about this place after seeing videos and maps, but it seems that the area needs some serious love in terms of garbage pick-up, graffiti removal, and structure repair. Lot of work but a lot of fun. I brought my big bike to ride whistler and rode this on my way back home. It's pretty tight for a downhill bike, a small hard tail with a nice fork would be perfect. I like the jumps and drops and skinnies. It would be nice if you could link up a run from one end to the other with several features. All in all, pretty good for a tight space, props on the construction, a lot of work for short runs. |

This totally takes the cake! I love this place. The hits aren't that hard, but they look big, so they're really cool to do. My only complaint is that it feels kind of tight on some of the beginner liines, after you've been doing the hard ones. Customer Service The biggining skills park, to the uppermost jumps, to the lowermost jumps, to the biggest glc drop, to the cliff, and back up |

Trail is exactly what you read in the description. More fun for the dirt jumpers, downhillers, and freeriders.
Customer Service Upper jump line down to the boxcar stepup. The upper trail is sweet too, now that you can start it off with the upper skinny teeter and bomb through the pump track and into the upper line. Good for crowded days and plenty of options along the way. Similar Products Used: Duthie Hill. Not ready yet, but should be 1000x better than Colonnade. |

The collonade is a fine attempt at an interurban xc and freeride skills park. Though I have only been there a few times it has been evolving slowly since its inception. It is built and maintained mainly by volunteers with BBTC and EMBA. The northern trails are short with tight switchbacks and small drops and technical features that wind their way down to the lower portion of the park. To the south at the top of the hill and tucked further under the overpass there are two sets of freeride influenced trails made mostly of wood planks and logs. As mainly a cross country rider this is not as exciting to me but it seems to be quite popular with the jumpers and freestylers. Customer Service Pick your poison, this place has a little bit for everyone.. Similar Products Used: Check out south seatac for more XC and dirt jumping, or tape worm down in renton. |
