DESCRIPTION

Trails from flat gravel paths to serious climbs and descents. The trails are in the middle of Bristol, TN and can be accessed from Steele Creek Park on the North side or Rooster Front Park on the South side. There trails in Steele Creek that make you feel like you are in 60 miles deep in a forest. I always say if you can ride Steele Creek you can ride anything.

My normal route starts from the Broad St. parking lot. Ride into the park turn left at the first pedestrian bridge then take you first left up a paved path. Take a right at the Power Line, Rock Cut trail sign. I climb Rock Cut to Power Line and descend on Fox Ridge. Watch the end of Fox Ridge, sharp right turn at the bottom or you could launch off the cliff into the lake. At the bottom of Fox Ridge turn left towards the dam. Turn right onto the pedestrian bridge at Rooster Front Park and stay right onto Lake Ridge trail. You will come to an intersection at the top of a climb, turn left on to Cross Ridge. Right onto South Ridge, left onto Hemlock Hollow. Hemlock Hollow will put you out at the fishing pier. You will pass a boat dock climb a paved path to a road by a playground and down a hill. Turn right and cross the pedestrian and you will be back where you started. Maps can be found at the Steele Creek Nature Center of any LBS in Bristol, TN/VA.
