This trail involves some skill but not a lot. it is not for beginners but it is not for people who know how to do jumps. there is only 1 jump that is semi difficult. it is a gap. if u don't have enough speed u will fall. there are also some trees in the middle of the trail right after a jump which u have to avoid or u will fall. my friend went of this jump and slammed rite into the tree. this is a good trail if u wanna start off or if u r experienced and just want to hit a few easy jumps. this trail not for people who r experienced riders. if u r experienced u should go to Diablo Freeride Park in Vernon,NJ. it is the best trail i've ever been to. Customer Service same as all the other ones Similar Products Used: its not really in the same area but it is awesome for downhillers

Forget Brookdale....Take Ridge Road past the Cedar Grove Reservoir. Turn left on to Francisco Ave. Look for abondoned RR tracks imbedded in pavement. and opening in woods. This is the Essex Branch Rail Trail. |

THE "OH SH_T TRAIL". FOR US CRAZY LOCALS ITS A NICE LITTLE RHYTHM SECTION OF ABOUT 5 DOUBLES. NOTHING MAJOR, BUT FUN. THE BEST PART ABOUT THE WHOLE PARK IS JUMPING DOWN THE BLEACHERS. WITH A SPOTTER WE'RE LANDING ABOUT 5 STEPS FROM THE BOTTOM. DONT FORGET ALL THE DROPS NEAR THE KIDDIE PLAYGROUND EITHER. THE LAST THING THAT ONLY HARDCORE RIDERS SHOULD ATTEMPT IS DROPPING OFF THE BOULDER RETAINING WALL. IT'S ON THE RIGHT AS YOU EXIT THE PARK GOING TO WATCHUNG AVE. TRY IF YOU CAN, BUT DONT SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU. Similar Products Used: STAY OUT OF THE PARK WITH YOUR 60LB DOWNHILL BIKE UNLESS YOUR JUST CHECKING OUT THE CHICKS. POLICE REALLY DOESN'T TAKE KIND TO OUR TYPE OF RIDING. HA-HA. |

This trail starts of with a small hill going into single track for pretty much the rest of the way, having a couple jumps and one log. In my opinion don't bother with this trail when there are better areas to bike: listed below. Customer Service Go down watchung make a left on glenridge and go to the end of the dead end street. Go over the bridge and make a right on the path. the trail starts feet from the bridge.
