Have been riding the trails at GCC steadily for the past 2 years, on and off for 10 years. Trails are in great shape as of now. D & Q now maintains the trails, and holds a race every season...So, the 5.5 mile race loop is good to go. Be prepared for a few climbs, some twists, lots of tough roots and a few logovers and bridges. Overall, a great place to get your skils up if you are beginner rider, or get in an hour of riding if you are seasoned and looking for something local.

This trail is awesome! I have been riding on it for 8 years now and I go there its great time. Power climbs and boy is it fast fast. Lots of roots but thats not an issue for me. I live only 15 minutes from this palce and you can hook up to Ceres park in Mantua by riding about 15 minutes or less on the road for one big killer loop.

Fun XC type of trail. Very well marked & maintained by local riders & I believe the 'No Sense' team. Lots of roots (mostly small) & visible, few man-made obstacles, i.e. bridges over the creek, log piles & a small up & down ramp. There's some short, fast downhills usually followed by a decent climb. Lots of tight singletrack, unfortunately pretty flat in alot of spots. As a suggestion, what would make this place even more fun is maybe a couple log-rides over the water or in other locations & narrower bridges. Very possible w/ all the down trees I saw. A jump or two would be killer. Overall its a fun place to ride for a couple hours. You can get a great workout on this trail & no chance of getting lost.

Just heard great news from another SJ rider, I am stoked to hear that someone will be adding some new stunts to the way too smooth off road lame ass loop at the college.will be there to help jump construction with shovels and rakes. Maybe with a little effort this so called MTB trail will be able to be ranked with Mantua Park.

Drive right on by this place unless No Sense wakes up!

It's ok, but a bit flat. I found a nice smooth stretch to build some jumps. I will be there this Saturday (1/17/03 snow date 1/24/03) at 9am with about 3 shovels. If you can help, please come!!! I'd really like to spruce this trail up so it can be more fun like Mantua Park.

Customer Service

The track is one way, so going the other way creates some interesting obstacles. Watch out for the no-sense bullies! I think they are a gang...

I went in October and found it quite interesting. I would categorize myself as a "rookie" moutain biker. It sure gave me a good workout. A lot more difficult hills, turns and drops then I had expected. I probably only rode the half closest to the tennis courts. It was actually quite fun! Try it out! It definately is worth the trip.

Customer Service

When you turn in to Glouster County College the course is in the woods directly to your left. Go to the tennis courts (1/4 mile ahead) and turn LEFT in to the maintenance parking lot. The entrance to the course can be found back there. Have fun!

Downhiller

Rode this trail today before the rains came. They were cleaning it up all week for the race tomorrow. As a downhiller, I don't do XC too much. I don't like to work so hard and I am not in that kind of shape. This trail is way too difficult to be considered for a professional course. Some of the steeps are ludicrous. In fact I flipped my bike going up one. There are also points were the trees are too close together. I clipped my bars way too often. The other concern I have is with the mud. Disgusting! I was not prepared for that. I had slalom tires on and they were fowled up pretty bad. I guess I'll have to stick with the little course I set up in my backyard and Vail and Mountain Creek when I can.
