Great test of fitness with some of the steepest climbs us weekenders should try. The downhill sections will weed out the faint of heart. Sadly, I have yet to ride the entire pro loop without a bit of hike-a-bike to get me through. The good part is the course is a bit out of the way for anyone who isn't looking to go there, so there plenty of solitude is available for those who like to crash in peace.

I make extended visits to Fallon two times about every year and half and have not missed a chance to ride this trail over the past eleven years. I just returned from my most recent ride (last one was over a year ago) and was disappointed by the disintegration of the trail due to excessive motor cross traffic. Great, challenging climbs over shale have been torn up with large loose shale and two inch deep sand. Most lower level sections have been torn down to two to three deep sand. The varsity, but rewarding descents on the back end are also chewed up from large knobbies braking down them--seriously rutting up the trail and leaving a lot of stone. Major disappointment for what was a great, rewarding after work great ride.

This is our a desert mountain loop here in Fallon, NV. It plays host the the only mountainbke race we have here each year. The trail has steep granny gear climbing on jeep roads and once you reach the top you are heading into even steeper single track descents. Only 6 miles but, you will work for it. The scenery is nothing to brag on.
