A bit of an update. I ride with the guys that posted the last 3 reviews. True it is taking a little longer than antcipated I would say we have a pretty good loop. The trails are different than anything I've riden in Illinois so far, however I haven't rode long. The drops are step and at times the climbs can be down right nasty. It is very technical and a whole lot of fun. Some of the trails are still over grown and I would advise any one going out there to talk to one of us about meeting out there because other wise it can be a little confusing, working on that to.

Seanbike’s description is the most accurate to date. The other posts are too out of date. There are probably 8 miles of of rideable singletrack if you don’t mind getting hit by branches here and there, though trail conditions are improving weekly as more trail work is being done by the CAMBr’s Oswego Chapter (www.cambr.org). The singletrack is a long series of rollers ranging in height with some smoother sections. There are a few logs across the trail but the steepness of the rollers gives the trails its technicality.

Trail system has lots of potential. Don't listen to the guy who said he rode all of it in about an hour. I bet he missed half the trails due to the over growth. A local group is doing alot of maintenance to clear the undergrowth and make all of the trail system accessable. Trails are usually very dry even after rain, this was an old gravel pit and the soil has a lot of rock and gravel, duh. The trails are very winding and have a good number small rolling hills.

Here are better directions: If heading southwest on RT 71, turn North on Orchard, a quick left on Budlong, and a quick right on to OLD MINKLER. It was too dry when I went, the ground is pretty sandy adn hard to get good traction. It is also very wooded, most of the time you are being beaten by tree limbs. Probobly for more advanced riders.

land fill that is only a couple acres. Not recommended. This is a novice level area. Rode all the trails and more in less than an hour. Funner than riding on the road.
