This is a great hiking trail, but the worst MTB trail I've ever been on. Switchbacks are so steep and washed out that you get snagged on every root, not to mention the turn are so sharp you have to get off your bike and reposition. It might have been a good trail at one time, but now you might as well hike it instead of carrying or pushing your bike the 3.5 miles. |

from start to finish the trail is fun. the uphill is a little bitch but it is definitly worth it. there are several roots, rocks and sharp turns .you will pass a total of three stream and some small waterfalls its a scenic trail that is used by some hikers . there was very few hikers on the saturday that we went. use caution on this trail when raining or wet, i dont reccommed riding when wet. oh yeah watch the cliffs there is som steep ones! Customer Service either way is cool |

This is a short but beautiful trail. Either direction you ride it, you'll have some climbing to do. Not very technical for more experienced riders, but a super fun slice of tropical singletrack perfection. Watch for hikers on the downhill especially on the weekends. It can be very slippery in some sections near stream crossings, so be carefull. Don't bother riding this trail if it's been raining. You'll just tear it up and probably won't have much fun anyhow. I usually ride this loop at least 3 or 4 times each time I go there since it's only about three or so miles long. It's a fun one to take the wife and dogs hiking on. Customer Service It's fun both directions, but be prepared for a good climb. Similar Products Used: Kahuku area |

Can't believe there are only 2 reviews. Rode it today the 5th of July. Yup the 1 mile up is pretty tuf--you may hike a bike some of it---going down is smoooth for the most part but some cliff places to take care on. The views are incredible and I'd say in the two months I've lived on HI this is the best to bike--I've tried Kaena Point (too easy), Aiea Loop-(-HUGE roots and big felled trees), Mililani (illegal and the guards are out to chase ya off). A variety of terrain--some ups, some downs, roote, a few rocky areas, some smooth pine needle covered stretches that are really awesome, a few leafy areas-just can't be beat. There were several hikers, and several other biking couples. Acrossed from Kam Hwy Northeast shore area. The parking area can get crowded. Went late morning and it was not too hot. Just pack a gatorade solution in the camelbak. Even Texas "flatlanders" like myself can enjoy this trail. Not tooo difficult. Stop by Giovanis original White Shrimp Truck on the way back and get the shrimp scampi with some hot spicy sauce on the side---mmmm. Customer Service Jes a lil ole 4 mi loop |
