DESCRIPTION

The Telluride Mountain Village has just approved a new and free bike park that will utilize the already in place gondola system to get you to the top of the mountain. The plans call for 3 - 4 miles of intermediate to expert terrain, with roughly 4 to 5 trails including bailout lines for some of the more difficult obstacles. The old 2002 World Cup trail will be among the first to open as construction is slated for late July 2009. The hope is to have trails open as early as August. The local community is very excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to getting shovels in the ground.
