I went 2 days after it rained almost nonstop for 4 days. There were a few fallen trees, but no more than any other trail ive been on. The horses definitely muck up a few spots here and there, but what's a good ride without getting some mud on your tires? A good amount of sand seems to have been brought in to help with erosion, but its not too bad.
Not too steep up or down. All the elevation changes are pretty gradual.

WATCH OUT FOR HORSES!!
I was blazing down a hill jumping some of the berms, and found myself face to face with two horses. Neither the animals or the riders took it very well. Just be kind and give them the right of way and you'll be fine.

Customer Service

I was with a couple of newbies and they wore out, so we had to turn around. We went 4 miles in counterclockwise.

This is a horse trail that allows mountain bikes. Please be courteous to the horseback riders. A mountain bike is terrifying to a young horse and a "suprise" appearance can cause a serious accident.

Beautiful scenery. 50' waterfalls and caves. The trail is well marked. There are several other loops with a total of about 50 miles of trails available.

The trails are alot like Tsali, smooth and fast. There are not any torturous uphills or downhills. The soil is sandy, which makes for a relatively dry trail. I have seen horses everytime I have ridden there. Always get off your bike and move it off the trail also take your helmet off. Horses are easily spooked by a bike. Most equestrians are appreciative of this and it makes for good pr.

Customer Service

The trail is made up of 2 loops that make up a figure 8. The first loop (yellow) is about 11 miles and the second loop (blue) is about 6 miles. They overlap for about 2 miles. Be sure to check out the waterfalls after the first mile on the blue loop. There is a 2 mile spur from the trailhead to the first loop. (yellow)

See Also Pine Torch Loop above. The trail is open again (closed for several months to remove pine-beetle infested trees) and is a must ride.
