Downieville Muck+Underlubed ringdrive=ooopppsss/crap! DOH!!

Having the tool o-ring fail didn't help much either...

(Cooked the driveshell bearing, died while removing it, and blued out the ringdrive, as in it's all blued/dark colored now. Gotta say though, the guys at King REALLY stepped up and got me my replacement parts ASAP! :thumbsup:

Thanks again Jay and Chris! She's running solid again, just in time for the end of the month.

Now's all I need to do is deal with the open-close-open-close schedule, so I can hang out and ride with everyone again.

*Don't run the standard alu drive shell if doing this, switch to the stainless driveshell and heavy-duty axle set-up...

I definately wrench on my Retrotec than I ride it.

I don't think I've touched my Maverick with a wrench since I built it.

Yep, and the fricking "blame it on the gremlins/mechanic" doesn't work too well, especially on my own stuff too, huh? I'm gonna be hearing about this one for a while. At least I have a "here's why" story though.

Actually, If i didn't Fcuk up my back moving, I'd ride the Retrotec.
Instead, I'm bringin' the squish to Demo. Of course, this will make me think that I can jump or something, hurt my back worse, and wind up walking out on the fireroad.

I want to self-medicate just thinking about it.

I just moving to Alameda for now. .. It's a long story.
