Apologies please. Just read some of GayRayJays stuff over in Passion, and I'm just a bit confused.

Anyhow, mama and I will be in Seaside next weekend.....actually just me, as she is running the Hood to Coast race.

So...I have Friday and most of Saturday to kill. Any good riding up there? Can I rent a bike? Will be flying in to Portland Thursday/rental car, etc. No personal bikeage. Should I bother renting a bicycle??

I KNOW you know, or know someone who knows.....

Sorry, but I know nothing about Seaside... too far north. There's good singletrackage down around the Yachats area on the central Oregon coast, though... Cape Perpetua, Cummins Creek.

I'm not much of a coast rider. Willamette Valley, Cascade foothills and central plateau -- now yer talkin'.

Sorry, I'm a Portlander and get to Cannon Beach every couple months, but don't know of ANY dirt riding around there - other than the beach itself. Only coastal-ish spots I know of are the ones Sparty mentioned down by Yachats, and Norms Trails up by Astoria. Astoria is only about 25 miles away, so maybe that's within range. Haven't ridden Norm's, but it gets raves for lots of Shore-style stunts and you should be able to get info on the mtbr reviews section.

I'm sure to find something interesting to do during this trip!

Certain to proliferate a beach cruiser or something to RIDE.......

Wish me luck while momma's out running her knees off....
