I saw a good deal ($400) on a Yeti ARC frame....3.4 lb hardtail. Is this weight weenie material?

Any ideas on how to build it up light and inexpensive? It looks like I'd have to spend more than $400 to get a lightweight suspension fork...plus all the other cool and fast parts. I'm guessing $1500-$1800 for a light build. I'd love to go for it if I could keep it under $1k.

Under $1k for anything in the weight weenie forum is tough to come by. Not impossible, and you will have to use some used parts, but tough for sure.

What weight are you shooting for? SS or geared?

3.4 lbs isn't great for an aluminum ht, but not the worst.
