My girlfriend's bike was stolen off of her car last Thursday night (8/12) in Hailey, Idaho  It's a 2004 yellow Ionic full suspension bike. The frame is pretty unique b/c she ordered it from Ionic (now Dean) this year and I haven't seen another Ionic full suspension frame anywhere, of any color, other than hers.... Also, they didn't get the front wheel, but the rear wheel is a black XT(disc compatible hub) laced up to a black Mavic XC717 rim with black spokes and blue nipples...
Anyway, I'll attach a pic and if you guys could keep your eyes and ears open, it would be greatly appreciated. THe bike now has red grips and blue XC pro tires (different from the pic) There's a $500 reward for any info leading to the recovery of the bike or the dismemberment of the person(s) responsible.. :D ...
Where do stolen bikes go anyway

Oops! I forgot the pic. Here she is/was:

It is ironic that if I were to catch the thief, I would undoubtedly be the one that would end up going to jail

FYI - I just got it back! I posted flyers everywhere with a $500 reward and, funny enough, i got a call from a young "meth'd out" looking kid who claims to have found it in the bushes nearby. What a crazy coincidence.............

Did you pay the kid $500 to go buy more meth?

I told him that the point of the reward was to get someone to point the finger at the culprit. Since he couldn't do that, and his story was pretty weak, I gave him a check for $300, which I doubt he'll have the balls to try to cash until the next time he's really "jonesing" for a fix.... Part of me wanted to just pummel him and part of me felt a little sorry for him...

I was riding the Ti Strong 29er....The chin actually healed up pretty good, I was back on the bike the next day, and the stitches were out within a week.

I'll definitely be back next year to settle the score!

That's right, the Strong! Sweet ride! Hey, have fun in H'burg for the 100. Tell Chris (organizer) that Dirt in Idaho says Hi. I grew up a couple of hours south of there and the "Harrisonburg crew" was my first taste of real mountain biking. They know how to throw down!! I was eyeing that race this year too, but i have a wedding that i have to go to

You should have said, well that fine, I just need you to tell the police so you can be a witness if they find the guy. After that I will give you a check for your help. I bet he would have run at that point.
