I am thinking of purchasing a Yakima Hold Up Evo here in NZ for my bike that has a wheelbase of 1,231mm where the Yakima Hold Up Evo supposedly has a stated limit of 1219.2mm (48").

I would love to get something like a 1up rack, but living in New Zealand, the Yakima Hold up Evo is sadly my only option for a Tray bike rack that doesn't hold the bike by the frame.

I have this track with a long wheelbase bike and it's nothing but problems, bike fell off the track multiple times.

Solution: i fixed a piece of wood under the bar that holds the rear wheel so when the bike rocks backwards, the wheel stops on the wood and the bike doesn't rotate out

Here is a pic of my 1262mm WB Hightower in the Yak. I've thought about making an extension for rear wheel but no problem after 3 yrs. I do always have a cable around bike just in case.
That's what mine looks like, but it's an e bike so maybe the weight distribution is different.

Anyway, i think the Yakima is crap.
The Thule is much better, provided you get the version that holds the wheel, not the frame

In France i have the version that had little horizontal bars that clamp on the frame and they are a pain in the ass.

Yea the Thule T2 is much better, but sadly its not available here in NZ.

The Yakima Hold up Evo is the only platform rack I can get in NZ that doesnt touch the frame...

As follow up I have 3 Yakima Hold up racks (bought for daughters in hopes of more biking) I have used all 3 with no problems. Purchased all used for approximately half of original cost. Solid bike carriers IMO.
