I have a forklift mounted on the factory bars of my Grand Cherokee. I wasn't even planning on removing it at this point, but I was going to adjust the length between crossbars when I came across a problem.

The "T" screw that holds the rear connection on the rack will not unscrew. I can turn it, but it will not loosen up. I guess the plastic piece is stripped, but how do I go about getting to the actual nut in there?

Anyone had this problem?

hmmmmmm. i just looked at the forklift we have here in the shop, and that is going to be pretty tough.
it sounds like you're right, the nut stripped out of the plastic holder. you might need to cut the bolt off with a hacksaw, and have yakima ship you a new t-bolt and nut.

bummer.....sorry.

I appreciate you looking at it. I guess I will just leave it up there and ignore it for now. When the time comes for me to get it off there I will have to do some cutting.

Thanks.
