Any XXL

It will not be hard to get any HT bike under 30 lbs. My custom Curtlo is more like a XXXLT and it is 33lbs with all beefy components. I run a XT drivetrain but heavy rims, tires, and 36 spokes. It would be easy to drop a few pounds but weight was not my concern. There are allot allot of XXL HT frames out there. I also run a steel frame and love it.

another vote for Curtlo

6'8" 235lbs here.

I bought home a Curtlo road (touring / commuting) bike this summer. The bike is great and Doug was fantastic to work with.

Now my mtb feels really small so I am dreaming of a slack angled, steal hardtail 29er with a 4 -5 inch fork from Curtlo. That could be a while...

If you want to pick the angles of the bike, rear tire clearence and other options, go Curtlo. If not, the the XXL Rockhopper from the Big Red S might be your bike.

my commuter is steel gray metallic with all black trim, post, seat, rims, bar tape...

avid bb7 road discs for commuting / touring here on the west side in the rain...

I love it, your bike looks like it came together well also, I picked mine up Sept. 12 so I think it was in the same batch as yours. Did the Mt Baker Hill Climb the next day with absolutely no fit issues. Doug is the man!

As I said, I am dreaming of a 29er mtb now, but it will be a while.

If you want to go the least expensive route, get a 23 inch Access 29er frame. They fluctuate in price from $79-$120 depending on what sales are going on. Fuji welds the frames and are of high quality. Comes with a slightly heavy cane creek headset.
How long have you been riding this $100 special if you will? I'm game just curious if it hasnt self destructed on you. I'm a 250 lb 6' 7" moose riding in rocky terrain.

6'7", 270 here, riding mine since mid-summer. It's a tremendous deal if it fits you. Read more here:

I don't think you'll have any problems with it self destructing. Even if it does, you're only out $90. Seriously though, mine has been solid.
