I have a Specialized FSRxc that came stock with Avid SD3 V brakes. I am about to upgrade and I would like everyone's opinion. I do not race and I ride flat trails, so I do not need anything too fancy. I just don't like the SD3's. If I stick with V brakes I am going to go with SD7 or XTR. If I go disc it will either be BB7 or Juicy 3. My only concern with staying with V's is that I plan on upgrading my fork to a Reba of Fox Float and I am having a hard time finding either of these forks with v brake bosses. Thanks

you cant go wrong with BB7's
i run bb7s and juicy 3s on my bikes, the J3's are nice and have alot of power but they dont have the adjustment range that the BB's have. if you want hydraulic save up and get a better set.

If you are going to be upgrading your fork immediately, go with some BB7s. If it might be a little while before you get the new fork, you could just go ahead and get a pair of Single Digit 7 brakes for now. They can be had for around $20 each, so they aren't exactly breaking the bank.
