It's still not a good deal especially since Shimano is going with a standard 104/64 bolt pattern with XTR next year. Who knows how long those ridiculously priced proprietary replacement M960 rings will be around?

Jensonusa.com also has this for $299. They also sell off brand ring replacements for this crankset. I was tempted but opted for FSA Pro Team Carbon for $189 at Sierratrading post. I too don't like the idea of spending so much on replacement xtr rings.

I was tempted to get the XTR crankset at $290, but was concerned about future availability of chainrings.

But those XTR cranks sure do look sweet
