So, i know you can get shimano road hoods to talk to a m9000 rd via a cable adaptor.

Are the new shimano gravel hoods compatible with m9000 era xtr hydraulic brake lines? I want to drop bar my xc bike.

Funny you ask - I was just wondering about compatibility between the GRX brifters and the XT 4 pot brakes... I don't have flat mount on my bike, and 4 piston brakes would be awesome for extra power. Some previous generations road hydraulic levers are compatible with some mountain calipers, and I would think it would still work, but would be expensive to try if you didnt already have some of the parts on hand.

I really just want the GRX levers and rd, and could kinda care less about the rest of the group - but 1x hydraulic levers with an integrated dropper lever sounds pretty awesome! Prob gonna have that once readily available.
