I've seen lots of slick looking SS setups with the 952 cranks with the spider removed running the spline cogs. Jenson has some 952s on sale, but they specifically note they are the 5 arm version. I really don't care about the spider as long as it is removeable.

Anyone know?

Yep, pop off the small retaining spring and remove with an 950-952 XTR BB tool. ALL 950 series cranks are the same.

I'd be sure to price match their xtr bottom bracket if you plan on picking one up, you can find them cheaper elsewhere.
