Today's build-a-bike dilemma...

My wheels are Crossmax's with Centerlock hubs, but I just snagged a Shimano SLX disc brake set with 6-bolt rotors because the price was too good to pass up. Would using Shimano XT Centerlock rotors with my SLX brakeset cause any issues? I can't see why it would be a problem, but I thought I'd ask "the experts" before I go making any purchases! Any and all info' is appreciated! Thanks!

I am sure it must have worked for the last 2 years ... Otherwise he would be back here ranting about incompatibility.

Most rotors are compatible with calipers from another manufacturer. You just have to look out for the thickness of the rotors and the width of the braking track. The former is quite similar with most rotors. The later may differ but nothing that a shim may not rectify.
