Looking to upgrade rear derailleur. One bike has Shimano Rapid Rise, so when I move from one bike to another the reverse action confuses me for a little while (can't relay on muscle memory).

Have decided on another rapid rise. Looking at Shimano xt m760. My questions are: What is the difference between a rd-m760 sgs vs. a rd-m760 gs? They both appear to be rapid rise. Is the difference cage length? If so, which one is mid cage?

Thanx

gs is mid, sgs is long. That's the only difference.
which tells you what the derailleur's capacity is. Meaning the ability to provide tension on the chain when your in a gear combo that doesnt need the full lenght of chain.
