the 760 and 770 allow to drop/release gears with the thumb and index, which is nice... but that's the biggest difference I see... I think the 770 also have "instant release"
XT 751 vs 2007/08 stuff
Gave up on the dual control shifters and are going to throw them on my XC hardtail. Jenson has only xt m751 triggers. Are they 2006 models? and are they much different than the newer xt 07/08(760/770)? Is it worth paying more for the current models?

M751 are 99-03 models. They shift as well, but lack the dual-release feature of 760/770 and the instant release feature of 770.
