Just scrolled through all our biked sticky and loving what I see!

Who out there rides an XS? I need help finding one. I posted under frames but thought I may have better luck under Women's Lounge.
I'm about 5 ( probably more 4'11"). Have been off for a few years and want to get back into it. May race again, but undecided at this point. Last bike I purchased was an Ibis steel hard tail, before they revamped their line. I absolutely loved it. Their new line unfortunately doesn't offer an XS, so I'm back to square one and since I've been out of it for a few years, really lost with all the new toys I see. I'm looking for a bike I can hit technical trails with / I've been told rocky/rooty for the area I'm moving to.

Any suggestions on frames or off the rack bikes would be appreciated.
Thanks In advance,
M.

I'm 5' 4.5" tall with a 30" inseam and ride a 2010 XS Pivot Mach 5. I don't know what your price range is, but Pivot has invested considerable effort in designing small frames - the tubeset is different on their XS and XXS bikes, the geometry is slightly different and the suspension tuning is different. All are designed to make the smaller size bikes perform as well as the larger sizes.

The 2010 Mach 5 has 5.5" of front and rear travel and is an incredible trail bike. You can check the geometry at Pivot's web site. The Mach 4 and Mach 5 have been redesigned for 2011 to increase performance and shave off 0.5 lbs from the frame. These bikes are not inexpensive, but they are extremely well made and are excellent do-it-all trail bikes that should last for many years.
