Hi Folks,

Been lurking around the forum for a while now looking at all the amazing builds you guys have knocked up & now eventually me and a friend have joined the Ranks with a couple of our own creations.

Rear light knocked up on a manual mill over a few lunch breaks, it's got 6 XPE Reds on 2 triple stars with Frosted wide optics

That was our proof of concept to see what we could do.

This is our front light (well rendering of it anyway) will post some pictures of it tomorrow

2 XPG2 Triple stars kicking out a blinding amount of light in an extremely small package :).

More to come :).

6 XPE reds will keep people off your wheel! Pretty clean and classic housing design. Very similar ones were sold here 3 or 4 years ago. Less the GoPro mount though.
No complaints yet but then only run it on the lowest setting and its still bright :).

What is your lowest setting ?

I run 2 x XP-E reds at 0.5A & even when extremely diffused it is highly visible in the day & plenty bright enough at night

[edit] I should have made it clear I think your lights are good & I am curious rather than critical

Not actually sure what the levels are as the maxflex information sheet doesn't say, would need to multimeter it to find out might do this over the weekend, its still bright don't get me wrong but you can look into it quite happily where as at level 5 it really is not nice to look into like looking at the sun I think the red makes it that much worse also.

Number crunching the leds run at 700mAh so setting one is 10% of that so 70mAh which is not very powerful also getting crazy run time from a 4 cell.
