Sorry if this has already been covered, Im playing with the idea of building some more lights but a lot smaller as mine weigh a hefty 400grams lol.
Are there any tripple or quad XPG optics that give a good beam which isnt to floody? Whats the OD of the optics?
If there is please can you provide links if you know where they can be purchased..

Cheers

I think its reasonable to take the XPE beam and make it ~40% wider and drop the intensity by around a third (R2 vs R5).
The Cute-3-SS-XP triple optic and the GT4 quad optic are discussed a little in that thread. I've been pretty pleased with the Cute-3-XP-SS triple. It would best be described as a medium spot. It's not really tight, but given the amount of light put out by 3 XPG's I think it works pretty well on the helmet or the bar. I also like the Cute-3-M-XP on the bar. It's a fairly wide flood when used with the XPG.

I haven't personally played with the GT4 optics, but from what I've read and the beamshots in that thread it looks like too much of a flood. I also never run the triple XPG lights at full power anyway, so I don't really see a good reason to go with a quad. But I always run a bar and a helmet light combo, so I am running 6 LEDs in total.

I've played around a good bit with the 20 and 25.4 mm triple and quad optics that work on the XPG. None of them seem to work nearly as well as the 35mm optics above. I will add that I mostly ride tight and twisty east coast singletrack, which tend to favor a little wider beam pattern that the trails in wide open spaces.

Cheers MtbMacgyver,
Found the Cute-3-SS-XP on cutter, do you have any beam shots?
