5' 7" with a 30" inseam- Size 17 Jamis Dakar Comp

The 17 fits me well, but I will admit it is on the tall side when I am riding rough terrain(2-3 inches of standover). I can only recommend that you ride either size and use personal prefereance. The 17 will give you a wider wheel base, make you fell spread out, and will be slightly more stable. The 15 willl give you more clearance in an important area for technical trails, but could be less stable and cramped.

You could prbably go either way. THat is the same situaion I am in - between sizes.

Good Luck

thanks for the info. i guess i should be looking at 15in because the trails here in new england are mostly technical. lots of rocks and roots long uphills and technical decents.anyone have any input on the 15in?

I am 5'10" with a 34" inseam. I ride a 19" and really like the larger open cockpit. I have a few other bikes and when ever I slide back to a meduim I feel cramped. I would go ride one if you can but if you can't go with the 17"
