Close, but my vote is Carbon
Haven't really ridden the Aluxx, but I am the current owner of an NRS C2 and love it. Advantages? The carbon is a bit lighter, absorbs bumps and vibration better, and let's face it, looks better. There have been other posts here about durability and really you shouldn't have any concerns about carbon over the Aluxx. Apparently, if you are going to have a failure with the carbon, it's going to be catostrophic. But I would think that for either one you are going to have to go hard into a tree, fall on rocks heavily, etc... to potentially cause any major concern. If you are looking at the NRS 1/2 vs. the 3, you may want to be more conscious about the components and not so much the frame. That is where the price and substantial performance difference lies. Just my $0.05...
