My bike has the Rock Shox XC32 forks, only about 5 months old, and I am getting a squeaking noise on rebound. I am not too familiar with mtb forks but using my moto background it sounds as if there is air in the damper. It did make the sound slightly when new but I think I read somewhere that it happens because it is a lower end fork. It has slowly but progressively gotten louder since. Any suggestions? Can I open up the damper and bleed it? Just keep riding?

Thanks!

There's not really anything to bleed. If bike/forks are new then take back to lbs and say something. I'm a 270lb rider and currently ride the same forks (saving for tower pros) without any issues. honestly I also wonder if its the fork itself. I got noises early on because stem wasn't tightened properly new and steered could shift ever so slightly enough to squeek.

Best bet is to have it checked ot if at all possible.
