Any opinion on lightweight ALuminum, 29er XC rim with ~25mm internal width?

200lb rider weight.

Leaning towards DT Swiss XR391.

Anything else that is better?

30mm is what the two top XCO current champs use. Nino Schurter.

Sorry for the misspelling. Corrected.

Maxxis Rekon Race 2.25 is one tire used on DT Swiss XMC 1200 Spline 30mm.
Hmmm. Wow. No kidding. I'd never have thought the xc pros have gone to a rim that wide.

We've really come far.

I have both Stan's Arch MK3 rear with Stans Hub front DT 240 CX Ray Spokes

Race set Tune Hubs DT Revoution 2.0/1.5 spokes and DT XR 391 Rims

Both are great DT weight 450g with washers and the Stans Are 450g also

DT seems a bit stiffer Used several tires on both

2.25 Recon Race
2.25 Rocket Ron Addix Speed
2.3 S works Renegade
2.25 Michelin Jet XCR

These ones just came out so I don't know of any reviews or user reports yet, but they definitely look interesting.
https://spank-ind.com/products/spank-flare-24-oc-vibrocore™-rim

I've used used a number of Spank Industry rims over the years and been pretty happy with them, along with DT they're my go-to company for rims. I'm a pretty bad wheel abuser and break a lot of rims, Spank and DT are the ones that last the longest for me.

I really like the DT Swiss XR 391 nice width and the quality and finish is superior to the Arch MK 3.

Tires
Michelin Jet XCR 2.25 (610g)was too wide and rub my Carbon Frame 60mm on 26i Arch
Recon Race TR (Non EXO) (615g)had better traction on the Rear than the Jet
S Works Renegade (545g) is a rounder profile than the Recon Race and only 3 rides with it on the Rear, On moist to Dry Midwest Smooth XC single track I think it will be my Rear tire for a while.
Schwalbe Rocket Ron Snake Skin Addix Speed (623g) has been on the front and been great. Today I am Trying the Recon Race on the Front so I can update you on it later.

The kom 23's I had weren't very stiff. The arc24 is lighter and stiffer.

I've done the arc 24, 27, and 30 and have been impressed with all of them. I need to do some new dt's for comparison, but the arcs definitely beat the koms.

I was sold on the DT xr391, but now I've been reading good reviews on Raceface ARC rims. On paper they are pretty close, not sure what else to use for making a decision. Both 25mm, 440/450g rim weight. Price wise...I'm guessing they are comparable.

Hmm...
