I'm looking into getting an X5 and want to know what the BB height and HAs are in the 6" travel mode on a 17" frame. I'll be running a PIKE up front.

If I remember correctly, with a Pike fork and 6" rocker settings the BB height was around 14 1/4". I would have to remeasure again to be sure.

OK, you can come back to this forum.
The center of the BB is 13.5" high with a Pike/140mm/5" X-5,
so yeah, maybe the 6" would work for you.

BB Height

My 19" '05 X5 with a Pike Team at 140mm and 6" rockers (DHX Coil) has a 345mm (13.6") BB height (measured to bottom of BB) or about 365mm (14.4") measured to centre of the BB... Front tire is a biggish 2.5" Conti Diesel while rear is 2.3" Specialized Enduro D2. It never feels high to me - my old Tracer felt way higher in the 4"/high BB mode.

Couldn't tell you about the head angle though. Would have to get an inclinometer or do some trig.

My X5 when it had 6" rockers with a 2" stroke shock (gining 5.32") and the Fox TALAS 36 at 150mm had a HA of 68 degrees and a BB height of approx 14.5". When fork set to 110mm HA was about 70 degrees. (usually work off 20mm = about 1 degree)

Measured the HA with a inclinometer robbed from work so pretty spot on with the figures.

wow, thats still a bit low. My Switchblade has a 14" BB hgt with a PIKE at 140mm, measured from the bottom of the BB shell.

Why do you say tht's low?

over 14" is actually quite high for a trail bike.

i meant the bb on the X5 is still lower than i thought it would be. yes, 14" is high for a trail bike. it works for me.
