Almost done building up my new SS, but I think the spring in my Surly Singleator might be toast, and I really want to finish it in the next day or so, and ride this weekend. Looking for either a new spring, or possibly a different chain tensioner. Anyone know of any shops close to Arlington that'd have this?

You probably will want to call any of them before heading out to visit them, but there are a couple in your area. Right in Arlington is Revolution - http://revolutioncycles.com/
and theres a new place also in Ballston, Conte's - http://contebikes.com/page.cfm?PageID=363

Other than that you are stuck driving out to the other shops -
Spokes in Vienna: http://spokesetc.com/page.cfm?PageID=51
Bike Lane in Burke: http://thebikelane.com/
and City Bikes in DC/Chevy Chase, MD: http://citybikes.com/

I'm pretty positive that both Bike Lane and City Bikes will have what you need, Revolution can bit hit or miss on the singlespeed stuff and I've never been to the Conte's, although the peeps down in Richmond, VA really like them.

THE BIKE LANE!

They had a bunch of Rennens last time I checked, including the spacers and lockrings. Best shop in town.

Do you know what kind of prices we'd be lookin at for Rennen stuff? I have a tensioner, but I'd definitely be interested in trying out some of their spacers or lockrings if the price is right.

I like the Endless Fibonacci kit best (Bike Lane has them, too) and it's cheaper than the Rennen.
