I learned from my first FS 29er ( Ventana ) that I had to have stronger wheels built and also went from 9 mm QR to a 20 mm TA front and 10 mm TA rear set up to achieve the stiffness or performance I preferred and had nothing to do with the frame ! I dunno.....after trying the new RIP and comparing it to my DW Sultan , I'd say the Niner was a complete noodle ( yeah , come to think of it it was ) ! Of course this is my unbiased opinion ( go figure ) Who are you trying to fool anyway.......LOL ! TIG.

no problem.

got to agree that i like DT and his concept of made in the U.S.. kinda hate admitting how well the RIP9 made in Taiwan rides. however, for sure is the DW-Link generation a huge improvement.
