I have dt 4.2 rims with fairly new motoraptor 2.24 kevlar tires. Are the sidewalls good for tubeless conversion? I prefer the kevlar for the weight and ease of mounting but should I be looking for a wire bead tire? Any recommendations- I think I would prefer a quicker tire for the rear (2.1) and a good grip tire in the turns for the front (2.35). I ride rooty rocky singletrack with dry conditions. Thanks.

talked to a guy last night who runs his Kendas - non tubeless/non UST - as tubeless... and the Kenda have kevlar bear and super thin sidewalls... he said he never had any issues - no flats... no leaks... i'd imagine the Moto's would be similar - as long as the rim is well sealed and the juice is in there.... but i guess you'd have to try to really know....

cheers
