Reviews that I've read favor those tires for hardpack, but the consensus seems to be that they're terrible in loose stuff. I've seen them pop up on CL a few times recently and it seems to be a great deal for a condition-specific tire.

Never tried them myself though.

I picked one up. Never tried it but for the price  You use one yet? How do they work tubeless? I've not seen anything that says they are UST or TCS but with those thick sidewalls I suspect they would work fairly well. No?

Looks like it'd be a great front and if they ever get those Prowler DH tires on saleI think that'd be a really good rear. But, what do I know... :skep:
Whistler tyre if there ever was one!
Heavy, really heavy! On dry surfaces they are ok, not amazing but they are super hard compound and will save your rims and keep you from puncturing.
Word to the wise though... Never ever ever try to ride them in the wet, worst rubber I have used in 20+ years.
I ran one of these on the back with a Kenda on the front and I had no complaints. No pinch flats at all (the side wall held up really well) and I've still got some decent tread that'll probably get me through the first part of this season. For that price, you can't go wrong.

Are they Minions? No, but can you get a Minion for 15 bucks? I think not.

Yeah, the Minion DHR and DHF are two I'm looking at as well...
