Well, picked up some 45Nrth Wrathchild Trail 27.5x3.0 for my trek Roscoe 6 today. They are the 60TPI version with the small studs. Looks like the 120tpi version with the XL studs has a bad rep for shedding studs. Hopefully these will prove more reliable. I think that I will bed them with my stud tool after mounting them up. Got them on a 20% off deal at the LBS, so they went from stupid expensive to just expensive.

A mellow ride on concrete is the best way to bed them in. No sharp stops, no hard corners. Just spin easy and maybe do a few mellow swoops to put 'em on edge.

I have a pair of the first gen and they are doing well. I try to be gentle with them on the streets but out in the decent snow and ice... It's on! Just wish they were a lil fatter.
