Whew boy. I decided to go clipless and bought Time Atac Z and Shimanos and Mallet M pedals. I like the M because they are magnesium and most of the parts on my bikes are mag or ti. I get a lot of good looks with them but I'm still getting used to them. So I fall a bit too much. Anyway, I was thinking of other pedals that were a bit cheaper but I am rich so I like the best of the best. If you get a chance try the Time or Mallet. Shimanos are for welfare suckers. Peace out.

If you check on RM there's a decent amount of people, including myself that have had a few issues with being able to reclip in on a certain pedal at times when its most needed as well as often having delayed clipping out, I love them still but just kinda to fore warn you of potential issues others have.

Just wondering - what shoes did you try? And did you practice a lot?

you are in the DH section, yet you claim that most of the parts on your bike are Ti or magnesium? Ok crazyeyes.

I have to wonder about your bogus claims too, unless you have cranks that cost more than the $400 XTR+BB set, I doubt that you have cranks on your bike that cost more than that, hence, you need to upgrade to these cranks or better unless you are just a welfare crackwhore....

Thanks for the input. But I like to own the finest parts. So aluminum doesn't excite me. But I'm still riding the same stuff you are.

Mag saddle rails and pedals and my Marzocchis use mag parts. I have ti bolt kits, chainrings seat and wheel QRs. Others too. Why does it matter?
You do not have magnesium saddle rails. It's called manganese.

You have Ti bolt kits? wow, i'm impressed.

Ti quick releases? Are you stupid? Those flex like mad, there are none that are designed/meant to be used for downhill/FR.

There are no freeride/DH titanium chainrings, there are XC ones, meant for XC use, and are not designed to stand up to DH/FR use, whether they're made out of titanium, kevlar, diamond, or ditronium...

Others too? I'd like to hear about these other titanium and magnesium DH products, I am just not aware of any and I'd like to know so I can put some on my bike too.

Boxxers have mag lowers.
yes, some forks have magnesium lowers, and there's magnesium pedal cages...that's about it for any magnesium DH parts. I want to simply know what are all these trick magnesium parts that he is using.

(I know he's just BSing, and it's easy to catch him doing so)...

You are being too sarcastic. I didn't specify DH parts. I know my chainrings are not for DH. But they work for FR duties. And I have a Moots ti layback post and Titec ti bars.

then why are you posting in this forum, and why did you say that you wanted magnesium pedals to match the other magnesium parts on your bike?

I bought them as leftovers and they have lasted 3 bikes. What the hell is your problem? I don't need huge riser bars to keep up with guys like you.

Titanium and Magnesium...sheesh. I'm running Shimano's new M989 Beryllium pedals. The enriched uranium cleats are kind of heavy, but hey, they last forever, and I was told the itching in my feet would go away once I got used to them. Just yesterday this tight little blonde hottie was like "are those the enriched uranium cleats?" and I was like, "yeah, they're better than anything anyone else has and they're mine and no one else can have them", and then she was like, "wow, you're cool, would you like to come to my cabin and make sweet love down by the fire?"
