I'm a ZTR Crest rim user. Weigh about 170 geared up. No hucking or jumping. Pure XC and somewhat of a weight weenie. Read a ton of great reviews but of course there are a few comments about lateral stiffness is lacking, etc.

There are some deals to be found on current Arch/3.30 wheels because of the new Arch EX coming out in a few months.

All things equal (tires, pressure, bike/fork) would I notice any diff going with the Arch in terms of cornering? Or is it overkill for my needs?

The Arch is 2mm narrower between the bead hooks than the Crest is, so the effective volume of your tires would be a little less. The Arch will be a little stiffer than the Crest, because of the additional internal brace. Maybe try borrowing some stiffer wheels to ride and see if you like the additional stiffness over your Crests. If so, jump on the Arch deal.
