long-time lurker, first-time poster...

i'm looking for an all-around hardtail frame to be used for freeride, urban, etc. it'd be nice to have something that can be taken on trails as well.

would the woodman elite or d be decent frames? i'm 6'2", so i'd probably need the elite-ml or d-ml (i think that's what they're called). i've also considered the soul cycles titan. i'd like to keep the cost of the frame to a minimum.

i've seen other threads on these frames and they look pretty sweet. the other posts seemed to deal mainly with urban, though, and i'd like to be able to climb on this if necessary. any other suggestions are welcome.

thanks,
s

First is aluminium 24 PornKing3 and gos for 700.
Second is steel Azonic SteelHead and gos for 216.

I have a few friends with the SteelHead and they are very happy with it... and build up looks SICK...
But 24 PornKing ...that frame look SICK even without any component... :D (a bit of evel imperial look)
Good luck..

I'm not a grammar nazi, but I wanted to point this out to you. In your ad you say, "hasn't honestly been ridden less than ten times", which is the same as saying it has been ridden more than ten times, and I don't think that is what you were trying to say.

Soul Cycles Titan...

um i think the next time i see a pink bike im gunna be sick... :(

shame on all u ppl who think ur kool going out and getting a barbie pink bike...

anyway back on topic...those 24 frames are very nice bikes...and im sure the steelheads are niceish to...the woodmans would be sweet for trails but not DJ or FR...so out of the mentioned bikes id say the titan would be the best choice for u considering u want a cheap and tough as nails bike...

i am really curious why you think that a woodman frame couldnt handle FR. i suppose you also think a chromag couldnt hack it either?

and singe:

the woodman frames are nice, but you specifically said:

-you are 6'2"
-you wanna have the ability to climb
-you wanna be able to ride trails

the woodman elite frame is TINY: 333 mm c-t seat tube and 594 mm effective top tube. i think my 24" bmx bike may be bigger. that frame is gonna be tough for you for anything but DS / FR / thrashing.

check out www.chromagbike.com - i have no relation to them, so this aint spam, but the bikes are outrageous.

what about those d series frames (d-ml)? their catalog says the d-ml is an 18" frame, but the effective top tube is about the same as the elite. i'm not sure how much larger the elite ml is. anyone know?

thanks for all of the suggestions.
