The Ray's Angels Women's Weekend at Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park will be February 19-21, 2010. Free clinics will be available for riders of all skill levels. This is a great opportunity for ladies to learn from some of the best female riders and coaches at one of the Midwest's most popular winter indoor riding locations.

On Friday, February 19th, Ray's will be reserved for the ladies...but we're leaving the Rhythm Room open for the STAG party (yes that means you fellas). Saturday and Sunday will be open to all, but women are welcome for 1/2 price! Put your knew skills to the test and show the guys how it's done!

Pre-register by February 1st to get your FREE Ray's Angel's Women's Weekend t-shirt! Go to www.raysmtb.com for more info and a link to register.

This is a great opportunity to learn from some of the top female riders in several different disciplines. Two of the coaches were recent instructors at the Midwest Women's Mountain Bike Clinic! Hone in your skills or step outside your comfort zone and try something new. With just under 100 participants in 2009 (and hopes of over 100+ in 2010), this is the largest women's mountain bike event of the year! Don't miss out!

This is awesome! My girlfriend will be heading up at about 12 oclock on friday, she wont be able to make the first few hours because of school, but will hopefully be able to get in some "girl only" riding time with the pro's (which will be nice since she has never mtb before) Hopefully she will be able to get the advice and help she needs to fall in love with the sport:thumbsup:
XCkiller - so what did she think? i hope she had a great time. there are some pictures in the women's forum if you want to check them out. i didn't take many, but maybe i happened to get one of her. i'm also working on getting some video footage up from friday, so maybe also check back in a couple of days and see if i got it to work.
She really seemed to like it! It was a little overwhelming at first from what i understand. But then again what can i expect, she came in late and had never mountain biked before, not to mention she was on my spare bike which was a bit too large before. Unfortunately I was unable to show her the ropes because i was in school till 3, but luckily one of the pro's found and was able to help her before i arrived. Although she is still terrified to ride more than 2 feet off the ground, i was able to see the sense of satisfaction on her face when she finally cleared a few of the lines. Couldn't be prouder:D
cool! ray's is the perfect place to learn and get that confidence on the skinnies. fwiw - i still don't like to be too far off the ground either. if it's five inches wide on the ground - no problem; if it's five feet wide high off the ground - freaks me out. but i guess that fear is part of what makes it so much fun.
