Hi all,

Recently I went on vacation, bought myself a new bamboo commuter bike & had it shipped back to my country. I had a bike shop help me assemble the bike.

The wobble problem is there in the first 2 seconds when I start pedalling. Once I have gained speed, the wobble stops. The bike shop boss tells me that this is normal for bamboo bikes but I think I need a second opinion. What do you guys think and what can I do to stop the wobbles?

The bamboo diameter used for the front triangle is too small. My first bamboo mtb felt a little noodly when turning hard but it was never 'wobbly'. Nothing you do will stop the wobbles except maybe stiffening it up with some layers of carbon fiber but that pretty much defeats the purpose of having a bamboo bike. At least from an aesthetic point of view that is.
