Weather's been great! 66 was kind enough to lead me out on my virgin ride of Dupont yesterday and I hit the fireroad up to Farlow Gap today. It was a little muddy, but no ice. The temps were way cooler up there than I expected. I mean, I know temps get lower as you gain altitude, but it was considerably cooler today. I ended up cutting my ride short at 27 miles today because I was dreading a long descent after 40+ miles. it was cold enough when I came down off the ridge!

66~ Thanks for the lead yesterday. I am not sure if I'm going to ride Dupont again tomorrow or take the dog out for a hike. I'll prolly opt for the latter, then head back to the ATL.

I've been off work for 9 days now, tomorrow makes 10 then it's back to reality. ARGH!

You guys were lucky to escape the deadly Bottle Flu that hit the region Sunday. Glad I got my shot awhile back.

We who were immunized had a great ride! Shorts on 1/01 - wow. Saw a lot of smiling faces out there.

Ricko - home made spiked tires. Remember those old posts?

I had a little case of that bottle flu myself Sunday...indulged in few too many of those Scottish Ales on New Years Eve I think maybe hehehehe.

Yup, the ol' sheet metal screw trick. I have an old pair of tires laying around that I'm thinking of modifying in just that manner :D .

Ricko >>>>>> c'mon big freeze, I wanna' RIDE!
