Not 30 minutes after chatting with Jeff Kellum on the DC this afternoon, the lovely and overpriced 5.5 decided to break on me again. This time it's a bolt but it's not the kind I can just pick up from Ace.

That's twice. Strongly considering a different ride but this is the wrong time of year to be thinking about a multi-thousand $$$ purchase.

Dammit.

JK rocks.

And ,maybe it's a diet (or lack of) issue? Are you stressing out that bike too much? :D You should have shuttled with us today, you never answered the email invite...F-it, lets just go climbing Tuesday night, whaddya say?

DHF'r
Oh, I'm definitely putting the bike through its paces. For what I paid for her, she'd better put out precisely how and when I want her to.

Tuesday: Going to Tucson to fall out an airplane. Thursday?

Just saw the emails about 30 minutes ago. Sorry. :-(

Is EVERYTHING a competition for you Walt? Sounds like insecurity to me...
Nope...just competition. I like to compete, win or lose. I have no problem losing or admitting being second-best. For example: DH MTB'ing: riggse>waltaz; Climbing Sunrise: Jim and Rodney>waltaz; Hot wife: waltaz>...I think I do pretty well there... :D

You forgot Didir = Yahweh.

Paul, sorry to hear about your bike. Looks ugly.

I don't believe this. You have never once admitted that you are second best to me despite the fact that my fat butt has laid waste to you everytime we have gone riding. Yea, you might address it by saying you were sick or something, but you have ever flat out admitted that RIDING: Didir>Walt.

You have us all beat on made-up Quran quotes in our signatures as well. What's up with that, anyway?

Yeah, I'm worried that DC is "too much" for the bike. I'm having serious reservations about taking it anywhere scarier, frankly. Last thing I need is a catastrophic failure down Geronimo or something.

To Intense's credit, they're shipping out a couple replacement bolts and a replacement swing link today and I should have them in a couple days. Let's see how long they last. Apparently the first generation of bolts weren't as beefy as the current ones are -- I'll compare and see soon enough.

Yeah, Jeff's been off the bike a lot. Said it was his first ride in a month, but he's out there training up for 24HOTOP. What a stud!

It didn't have anything to do with you chasing "______________" or riding for 6 hours did it?
Jeff, have you ever heard of the Mens' Code? You know, it covers open statements about our fellow fellows and their individual activities that may be discussed and/or discovered among us men. Simple English - THE MENS' CODE = DO NOT RAT OUT YOUR FELLOW MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the heck are you talking about? Please go back and reread my post and tell me where I dishonored the code?

Yea, sorry. I was busy thinking about some hot chick I "chased squirrels" with the other day.
Full disclosure: Skirts/squirrels/chipmunks were actually an all-girl 24HOTOP team out training with azcoaching.com, and they needed a rabbit to chase. I was more than happy to oblige.
