The best are Magura Gustavs, probably also the most expensive and heaviest aswell.

Gustavs give one finger truck stopping power with incredible feel and control. No matter how hot they get they never fade or alter their feel, simply awesome for DH.

For FR you need Gargoyle brakes, not witch brakes. Don't you know that?

Yeah, gargoyle type that can handle and get you through those 30ft jumps. Witch brakes are for xc only, as those brooms are not stiff enough for dh.

On a serious note, my vote would go for, in order of preference, Shimano Saint's(or XT, of course with 8inch rotors), Avid Juicy's, Magura Gustav. Gustav is the most powerfull, but heavier / expensive. Also if you can get a hold of the old Shimano 4-pot XT, your good to go.
