Based on the friendly advice I got here last year, I took my wife and two kids (6 & 8 yrs old) to Breckenridge last August and had a great time. The variety of skill levels of trails and bike parks nearby was great for the days I rode solo, or took my son, or the whole family. We are considering just repeating the trip again this year but would prefer to try somewhere new, so we're considering Winter Park. Can anyone who's knowledgeable of both areas help me to compare the two in terms of advanced trails, kid-friendly trails, restaurants/shopping, and a general family-friendly scene? Or recommend somewhere else in CO for this type of trip? Thanks in advance for your input!

Durango has a great reputation!
Personally I have never had a bad time in Steamboat Springs. Great vibe, great food, good kid attractions (water slide for natural hot springs), beautiful surroundings, and a genuine feeling of "western" community.
I am told that Crested Butte is the same kind of place.
Post your question on the western Colorado site and you will get better responses than my pure opinion.
