EDIT: Specialized frames didn't do it for me. Marin, Kona, and Trek were soso. Scott was far and away the winner. Scott Scale Elite 29er coming in early March.

At 5'8" you might try out the 15" frame as well as the 17" before you buy. We have a Rockhopper in our stable... These frames run large, and you might find the 15 to be a little more comfortable and agile.

I plan to try both frame sizes on tuesday. Does the 15" frame have a curved top tube?
