I like the Juicy 7s but theres a few things that I would like to change. First the hose could be a bit longer and disk could be a bit smaller. Let me know if these parts will match up:

2008 Avid Juicy 7

with

This Hope hose and valve kit

and

This IS 140mm addapter

and

the Hope saw 140mm Fixed rotor or should I run the Hayes V5 rotor (5" is 140mm in rotor world right?)

Goodridge or Jagwire plus others sell a SS line kit, easier to get the one that is made for the brakes then to try & be creative.

Are you doing front or rear??

140mm is close to 5".

I'm doing just the rear. But I am wanting to run the Hayes V5 rotor more then the others becacuse it looks more simpler and it cheaper. But I am wondering if the rotor is exactly 127mms or really 140? And if so will it work with the Juicy 7 brakes w/ the IS addapter I linked to?

Thanks for the link to the goodgridge line, I have heard a lot of good things about them so I think I might run that.

Hayes v5 rotor works fine with the J7. You just need a front 160mm adapter (same as the 140mm adapter) for either the Hayes or the Avid. The v5 is 140mm. You can only run a 140 in the rear. 160 is the smallest you can run up front.
