Will 2010 DT Support a longer shock like the old one?

Does anyone know if the new DT will support running the longer stroke shock to get that extra travel? What was the geometry and travel amount with the longer shock? I remember that it had to be run in the slackest HA setting but I don't remember the other details. Has anyone here tried the DT with the longer shock? Impressions?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, I think the shock has already moved to the 8.75" x 2.75" variety on the new frame so that you get the full 7" of travel from the get go!???

That be the V-tach shock - Pretty sure the DT is slightly shorter i2i / stroke.
