HOLY ****!! Darren is one of the last people that I thought would head this off. I actually heard that this year the Wild Rockies series was Kaputt. Great to see a rider head it off and good luck to Darren.

Well Its About Time Someone With More Than Half A Brain Takes Over The Wild Rockies, Ron Dillon Is So Disorganized And Sloppy It Made The Event Boring And Frustrating.
Good Luck Darren Lightfield Your Gonna Need It To Pick Up The Trails Of Pieces Left By Ron Dillon

^^ I was going to say something along those lines. But just didn't have the balls. This is what I said on a bulletin:

"... Maybe now we can have races that are organized, riders don't sit around for an hour+ at the top of the course waiting for the first rider to go down (Ron Time), SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T GET THE TIMES WRONG!, and not have some fat-ass that sits around collecting our money."

Where is his royal highness and lord god uberpro Jon W Gould when we need him to restore DIllon's good name and defend his organizational skills (after he puts the bong down and quits eating pork rinds).

Hmmmm.....

Here is a little something-something to go with that...
I'm not a big supporter of either series but the fact that there are two race series in town means you have a choice. Survival of the fittest and best. If you don't like Wild Rockies, do the Knobby Tire series (or vice versa). Let your $$$ do the talking...

Manchego to go...

UMMMMM...Fromage....I'll take a 1/3 of a pound to go please.

Dang you G! That cheese looks good. My revenge on you is to tell you that I had lumpia shanghia, dinuguan, lechon, and kare kare last night. Also had Y'all missed out. There was about 100 or so flips there.

Bike content: Does anyone know what 801 time is???? D (aka Darren von Darren, DVD, D-Light) should have his hands full. If anyone knows an accountant willing to do pro bono work, he needs one. And remember...be gentle with D.

Give him the kind with carroway seeds. Let's see if he's got diverticulitis.

Did you know that in the Netherlands they invented bikes, cheese and tall blonds.

Well maybe those girls that scored would have done a better job if they had the right equipment and some communication from dillon?

That would be the organization part. But that wasn't the only race. He totally screwed up at the Brundage Dh. He messed up nearly 4 categories of riders. Times all wrong and everything. It was frightful sitting in first place and wondering if someone was going to contest my time, especially when I knew that that time was right.

This statement seems a little Del Taco like. I smell hypocracy.:nono:
I knew that would come out a little wrong. I just couldn't find a good way to put it. It is not the fact that I was in first place, and I would have been pissed if I lost it, it is that I am a "target" and people may second guess your time to see if you really are the winner. But Keaton got kicked out of 3rd place when one of the people that work for Ron contested if his time was right. They ended up mixing up my entire class, and switching times all around. It pissed me off really that they couldn't get it right the first time. I knew that my time was about right because I was as fast as Nick through the entire course (I know this because I rode behind him on one run and was keeping up w/ him, and couldn't go any faster, and I raced at the same pace), and I ended up finishing 3 seconds behind him, and I bobbled in one spot that took off ~3 seconds on my time. So what I was saying is that the time was right, but w/ all of the confusion going on, I was wondering if they would have thought I was one of the racers that they were going to change the time on. Some peoples times got bumped a whole minute slower than they originally posted. I would have excepted it though if they bumped my time around by give or take 10 seconds, but then again I wouldn't have known this. The person behind me was a 14 seconds behind me, and if they had bumped me more than that I would have been pissed, because that would have put me 18 seconds slower than Nick, and I knew that that wasn't right. I would have cared if I was knocked out of first place as long as my time was right, because that shows that I tried my hardest. Your time shows how hard you worked, and not your position.

wild rockies

I know that Ron changed peoples times, to make them happy,i've heard and ive seen it that is what makes his events a train wreck, along with nothing but the date organized,I've seen him marking the trail 1/2 hr till race time.Hell lava was so screwed up lasr year that they didnt have anyone covering the traffic, and a rider almost got hit.

I don't disagree with anything that's been said. However, at least Ron was out there putting on these events, taking a ton of abuse, all the while for probably no money at the end of the day in many cases. He fumbled through alot of stuff, got times wrong, started late, and everything else, but dammit, you gotta love the guy for all his efforts for so many years. Good luck Ron with the Moto Tech gang, Loyal is a great guy. You have provided alot of good times and memories (and alot of 'Ron Dillon Quotes" that my riding buddies and I still try to pull off to this day).

If anyone recalls, I was not too long ago the only person defending Ron and his work in a previous thread

That said, there was A LOT of room for improvement...
