Other than you are already talking a good percentage of the Pugsley price and you still have to run skinny rear tire. Looking at the prices it seems a good chunk of the price of a Pugsley will be in the tire and rim.

There are some other issues, like geometry change (the Pug fork is longer...I looked it up), but the one I keep thinking about is that by doing this the technical abilities of the rear will stay crosscheck, negating any benefits of the Pug fork and bigger tire on the front of the bike.
